LISA CASSIDY

Physical Therapist

I am a physical therapist with 28 years of diverse experience. I was a caregiver for my husband who had ALS (aka Lou Gehrig’s Disease) for 22 years. He passed away in October of 2020. Side by side we faced all stages of his disease and disability and together, we found ways to have a happy life in spite of ALS. (Read my ALS Blog). I strive to bring this positivity to every one of my patients.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my sons, exercising, hiking and cooking.

My ultimate goal is to help you get back to living your life to the fullest.

ALS CONSULTING

My husband had ALS for 22 years. He was on a ventilator for 9 years. I can help you navigate the crazy healthcare system and get your needs met. I offer consultation either over the phone, via Zoom, or in person. I have experience working with the ALS Association, the ALS Clinic, the VA, Home Health Services and Hospice.

Caregiver Training:
Taking care of a loved one with a disability is hard. I know from experience. I can teach you how to help your loved one without hurting yourself. Learn how to use the right equipment and the right techniques that keep everyone safe and free from injury.

Home Modifications:
Accessibility is important when it comes to success at home with a disability. I can help you decide what structural changes need to be made to your home and what equipment will make life easier.

“I love it when Lisa comes through the door! She radiates competence and cheerfulness. She has helped me maintain strength without ever pushing me to the point of pain. She has researched many solutions to help make my house more accessible to allow me to be more independent.” – Leslie C
