Physical Therapist

I am a physical therapist with 28 years of diverse experience. I was a caregiver for my husband who had ALS (aka Lou Gehrig’s Disease) for 22 years. He passed away in October of 2020. Side by side we faced all stages of his disease and disability and together, we found ways to have a happy life in spite of ALS. (Read my ALS Blog). I strive to bring this positivity to every one of my patients.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my sons, exercising, hiking and cooking.

My ultimate goal is to help you get back to living your life to the fullest.

Do you feel like you are not getting as much therapy as you would like due to insurance regulations? My services are a great addition to the services provided through  insurance. I will make sure you are taking advantage of all that insurance has to offer before we add on my services. I communicate with all members of your team (PT,OT, nurse and doctor) to be sure all your needs are met.

Caregiver Training:
Taking care of a loved one with a disability is hard. I know from experience. I can teach you how to help your loved one without hurting yourself. Learn how to use the right equipment and the right techniques that keep everyone safe and free from injury.

Home Modifications:
Accessibility is important when it comes to success at home with a disability. I can help you decide what structural changes need to be made to your home and what equipment will make life easier.

“Over the last two years, Lisa has provided personalized physical therapy to increase my mobility and range of motion from my spinal cord injury. She developed and consistently improved my therapy routine as I have improved. She has challenged me to be a stronger and a more independent quadriplegic. Lisa is extremely reliable and flexible to my personal life needs. Dwayne Fitz”
